Questions we get asked

Because you can check everything we say. The group behind DAHAI goes back to 1988 and has made solar modules since 2011. The modules carry IEC 61215 and IEC 61730 certification from TÜV SÜD, and the company that makes them is certified to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001. In Romania you deal with DAHAI SOLAR SRL, a company registered here in 2023; you can look us up by our CUI, 48970762. Ask us for the certificates or for a reference project, and we will send them.

Nobody can promise the next 25 years, so here is what we can show. The group has been in industry since 1988 and in solar since 2011, and it makes the modules itself. The module warranty is 30 years on power output and 25 years on the product, and it is written into every datasheet.

No. We make and supply the equipment. Installation is done by installers and EPC companies.

Because the price of a system depends on what’s in it, how much of it, and where it goes. Send us the project and we’ll send a quote with the kit, the datasheets and the certificates.

Romanian distribution operators keep lists of inverters whose EN 50549-1 certificates and test reports have been filed with them, and installers check those lists before they design. Our three-phase Hy hybrid inverters of 8, 10 and 12 kW are covered by a Bureau Veritas certificate of conformity with EN 50549-1 for Romania. We send the certificate with every quote, so you can file it with your operator. For other models, ask us before you design the system and we’ll tell you exactly which documents exist.

For modules, yes: the rule the EU introduced in May 2026 does not cover them. It does cover inverters and battery-storage converters from suppliers in China, Russia, Iran and North Korea. It applies to projects financed with EU money, including through the European Investment Bank; privately financed projects are not affected. Projects already at an advanced stage by 1 November 2026 are assessed under the earlier rules. If your project depends on EU funding, tell us at the start and we’ll work out with you which parts of the system the rule touches.

Ask us before you connect the system. We’ll tell you which monitoring platform the model uses, where it stores data, and how remote access is set up.

If you want a battery, now or later, choose a hybrid inverter: it runs the building on solar, charges the battery and switches to backup when the grid fails. If you only want to use solar by day and send the rest to the grid, an on-grid inverter is enough.

Voltage comes first. The 48 V batteries (DHLV-LFP-5000, DHJ5120-J1, DH-CNB-231005, DH-WLL010D1 and DH-314T16R) work at the voltage of the HyS, HyS-E and HyL. The high-voltage DHV-DS-100 and the DH-X-HV racks suit high-voltage hybrids such as the Hy. The two all-in-one systems, DH-LFP-VLV and DH-LFP-VHV, come already paired. The inverter and the battery also have to talk to each other, so ask us to confirm the exact pair before you order.

The modules are rated from −40 °C. The inverters work from −25 °C, and the HyS-E from −40 °C. The DH-WLL010D1 battery heats itself and keeps discharging down to −15 °C. Batteries rated IP20 belong indoors, in a room that doesn’t freeze.

Yes. The DHLV-LFP-5000 takes up to six units in parallel, the DHJ5120-J1 up to ten, and the DHV-DS-100 up to seven packs in a stack. The Hy 29.9⁠–⁠60 kW inverters run up to six in parallel.

Both faces of the module make power. The front takes direct sun; the glass back takes light reflected from the roof or the ground beneath it. How much extra that gives depends on the surface and the mounting height, so we don’t promise a fixed figure. See the modules page.
